Project Overview
The entrance serves as a boundary between the inside and outside, defining the entryway and symbolizing the identity of the complex. This design element aims to enhance and strengthen the existing identity of the environment by borrowing from its essence. The identity of the Enghelab Sports Complex, rich in history and deeply intertwined with nature, particularly ancient trees and greenery, is recognized as a recreational area. This connection with sports adds dynamism and vitality as common attributes of the various sports activities.

Design Approach
The proposed design focuses on the site’s identity and seeks to create a non-cliché definition of the entrance, portraying a dual narrative of transparency and negation, lightness and heaviness, movement and stillness, simplicity and complexity, as well as dynamism and stability.

• Solid Triangular Element: Inspired by the geometry of trees, this element represents negation, heaviness, stillness, and stability. It is designed to interact and contrast with the other section of the entrance, creating a balanced relationship.
• Transparency: The other part of the entrance utilizes transparency—one of the essential characteristics of Iranian architecture—by minimizing material and maximizing space, promoting visual continuity and an impression of lightness. This section strives to connect more intimately with the sky and embodies a deeper respect for its surroundings.
• Hanging Components: These elements evoke the branches and foliage of trees, moving freely in the wind, symbolizing dynamism, vitality, and motion. Their form is always changing and lacks fixed certainty, existing only in the minds of the audience.

Furniture and Signage Design
In the design of furniture and signage, the same principles are employed, ensuring geometric and semantic harmony with the entrance. These efforts contribute to the integration and strengthening of the identity of the Enghelab Sports Complex, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and functionality.
